Summary of PositionGus'smenu is chef driven. What this means is that what we cook and how we cook is determined by experienced and trained chefscollaborating. TheChef de Cuisine (CDC)isresponsible for building a team and training those Sous Chefs and cooks into a professional and disciplinedbrigade.TheCDCmust be the head coach and the teacher; the kind of person who motivates with both their actions and their words. This is a position for someone who still wants to cook while working with their team. Responsibilities will include: Maintaining the consistency and deliciousness of all menu items and supporting excellence in service at all times Managing kitchen personnel and supervising/coordinating all related culinary activities Estimating food consumption and requisition or purchase food Selecting and developing recipes Standardizes production recipes to ensure consistent quality Establishes presentation techniques and quality standards Plans and prices menus Ensures proper equipment operation/maintenance Upholds proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen Directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increases Education/Experience 5+ years’ experience in a Culinary leadership position Full understanding of culinary techniques Excellent knife skills Good organizational skills Ability to manage and supervise multiple teams at the same time Ability to train and teach Appreciation of our current context in the scope of culinary history  What Gus's Chop House Provides YouOur employees are the most important part of making our organization successful.We want to offer our employees the best benefits, so they know how important they are to our company.We Offer: Competitive salary with performance-based raises and promotions Paid time off Ongoing training and education opportunities Medical, Dental, Vision Employee discount Employee referral program 401k
